
Cotabato City – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region XII, in partnership with the City Government of Cotabato, conducted the payout for the beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the People’s Palace.
The TUPAD program provides temporary employment assistance to workers who have been displaced, underemployed, or affected by calamities and economic challenges. Beneficiaries received their wages after completing community-based work such as environmental cleanup, maintenance of public facilities, and other short-term labor services.
In his message, Mayor Para sa Lahat Mohammad Ali “Bruce” C. Matabalao expressed his appreciation to DOLE Region XII for its continued support to Cotabateños through programs that promote livelihood and economic recovery. He emphasized that TUPAD is more than just an emergency employment initiative it is a bridge that helps families rebuild their livelihoods and regain hope.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to uplift the lives of our people by providing them not only with short-term income but also opportunities to contribute to the progress of our city,” Mayor Bruce Matabalao said.
Representatives from DOLE Region XII, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and other city departments were present to ensure the smooth facilitation of the payout activity.
The City Government reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting employment and livelihood initiatives that promote inclusive growth and sustainable development for all Cotabateños.
