COTABATO CITY Members of the 18th Sangguniang Panlungsod personally visited the Cotabato City Public Terminal located in Barangay Mother Tamontaka on July 31st of this year.

During their visit, the council members discussed and studied possible systems on how the terminal will be operated. The main goal is to ensure equal opportunities for everyone to utilize and benefit from the new public terminal—especially those who rely on transportation and small businesses for their livelihood.

The City Government is also making sure that operations involving various government agencies are in place to maintain order, cleanliness, and security within the terminal.

Even before its official opening, the terminal has already attracted the interest of vendors and operators. Many local businesses and public utility vehicles have expressed a desire to participate and operate in the new facility.

The City Government also plans to hold discussions with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to finalize the routes that will connect the terminal to nearby cities and provinces.

The grand opening of the terminal is being carefully prepared, as it is expected to play a significant role in boosting the local economy of Cotabato City.
