The City Government of Cotabato, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), has officially started the profiling of 293 identified beneficiaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.
This initiative is part of the city’s continuing efforts to provide short-term employment opportunities to marginalized, unemployed, or underemployed individuals, especially those whose livelihoods have been affected by economic disruptions or calamities.
The profiling activity ensures that beneficiaries are properly documented and oriented before the start of their temporary employment. Through this program, each beneficiary will be assigned community-based work such as street cleaning, sanitation, greening projects, and other public utility tasks for a designated period, and will receive corresponding wages under DOLE’s guidelines.

The TUPAD program is a lifeline for many workers in Cotabato City, offering not just financial assistance, but also a renewed sense of purpose and community engagement. The local government continues to champion inclusive programs like TUPAD to ensure that every Cotabateño has the chance to recover and rebuild toward a more sustainable livelihood.
