
COTABATO CITY — The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) successfully conducted a Multi-Hazard Drill at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, as part of the city’s continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities.
The activity simulated various disaster scenarios, including earthquake, fire, and evacuation procedures, to assess response time, coordination, and readiness among employees and responders. The drill aimed to reinforce safety protocols and ensure that all personnel are fully equipped to act promptly during real-life emergencies.
The CDRRMO team, together with partner agencies, supervised the conduct of the exercise and provided immediate evaluations and recommendations to further improve emergency actions within the building and surrounding areas.
City officials expressed their appreciation to the CDRRMO for spearheading the initiative, emphasizing the importance of preparedness in reducing risks and protecting lives and property.
The drill is part of the City Government’s ongoing commitment to building a disaster-resilient Cotabato City through education, training, and proactive risk reduction measures.
