Cotabato City – The City Government of Cotabato formally inducted the newly elected City Youth Officials on Monday, September 22, 2025, in a ceremony held at the People’s Palace. The event also marked the official launching of the City Youth Officials Week, a celebration dedicated to empowering young leaders and strengthening youth participation in local governance.

The induction program was attended by City Mayor Mohammad Ali Bruce C. Matabalao, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, youth leaders, and representatives from various sectors.

“Our youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders today. Through their ideas, passion, and energy, they can drive meaningful change that benefits our communities and our city as a whole,” the mayor emphasized.

The City Youth Officials Week will feature a series of activities, including leadership workshops, community service programs, cultural events, and forums on youth development. These initiatives aim to provide opportunities for young leaders to showcase their talents, strengthen their leadership capabilities, and actively engage in governance.

The newly inducted youth officials expressed their commitment to uphold the values of service, integrity, and responsibility as they take part in governance processes and represent the voice of Cotabato’s young people.
