The 2025 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Athletic Association (BARMMAA) Meet has officially kicked off on February 23, in Cotabato City, with the theme “Championing Peace and Unity through Bangsamoro Sports”.

Cotabato City Mayor Para sa Lahat Mohammad Ali “Bruce” Matabalao, in his welcome address delivered by Atty. Nes Hashim Lidasan, underscored the local government’s unwavering support for the grassroots sports community, emphasizing that nurturing young athletes is vital to the future of the region.

“Taas noo ninyong dalhin ang pangalan ng inyong lungsod at probinsiya ng may dangal at pagmamalaki,” he said.
